Hi,
Today, May 30, is the first day of the official GSoC 2017 coding period.
First of all, I'd like to use this opportunity to thank everyone who
applied this year. Most of applications were fine but, unfortunately, we
could accept only 4 of them. If your application hasn't been accepted
this year, please try again next year if you can.
Here is the team of strace GSoC students this year:
JingPiao Chen, a sophomore in Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, his
project is "Netlink socket parsers", a follow-up of the last year GSoC
project by Fabien Siron:
https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/projects/#6343800380194816
Edgar Kaziakhmedov, a 3rd year student of the Moscow Institute of Physics
and Technology, his project is "Advanced syscall information tool":
https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/projects/#5669814382100480
Viktor Krapivenskiy, a 1st year student of the Moscow Institute of Physics
and Technology, his project is "Advanced syscall tampering and filtering
with Lua/LuaJIT":
https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/projects/#5518819303882752
Nikolay Marchuk, a 1st year student of the Novosibirsk State University,
his project is "Advanced syscall filtering syntax":

Students, please remember that development communication should take place
here, in this mailing list. This allows the whole strace development
community to contribute ideas, try out your code, send feedback, etc.
In fact, you're encouraged to review the code submitted by other students.
There is also #strace IRC channel for a chat.
Only personal issues should be discussed in private. If you really need
to discuss something in private, please contact both mentors.
