Question regarding parsing netlink events

Hello community!

I am working on porting some of strace functionality over to ktrace
(FreeBSD kernel tracing facility). I would like to ask the following
question: which functions / struts should I take into consideration while
doing so? I mean, I would like to be able to parse netlink events (TLVs)
and report errors if any. I would like to basically copy the functions to
FreeBSD ktrace/kdump utility and get the same result on the latter
platform.
