Error Generated by autoconf

Hi,
   autoreconf has worked and then it created the configure script and then
now when i run the configure script, then it produces this error when i run
the configure script then i see this other error. Here is it:

checking for libunwind-ptrace.h... no
checking whether to enable stack tracing support using libunwind... no
checking that generated files are newer than configure... done
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: error: cannot find input file: `Makefile.in'

Can you help me with this one?
