[PATCH] Cleanup trailing whitespaces and indentation that uses spaces before tabs

Standard git "pre-commit" hook uncovered a lot of spacing issues.
I suggest to fix spacing and install an "update" hook to prevent
new commits introducing new trailing whitespaces.
