[PATCH] linux 2.5 syscall additions, misc cleanups

The attached patch against the current sourceforge CVS sources includes
some miscellaneous cleanups that should be self-explanatory, and support
for some new Linux system calls, mostly calls added in 2.5 (but also
appearing in some 2.4.x variants, like Red Hat Linux kernels). These
changes have been in use in Red Hat versions of strace for a good while.
The patch includes detailed ChangeLog entries.

Wichert hooked me up on sourceforge, so if people are happy with my changes
I can commit them directly (I think). I will have several more batches as
I synch up our local changes. This is the simplest set of changes.

Thanks,
Roland
