Greetings!
I'm the project admin of strace.
For obvious reasons I have to migrate strace-devel mailing list from sourceforge.net,
but the downloadable mbox archive of the list has all strings that resemble email addresses obfuscated.
Please help me to obtain a non-obfuscated mbox archive of the list.
Regards,
Dmitry V. Levin, the project admin of strace
Hi Dmitry,
Sorry to hear that. Would you mind explaining your reasons? Our development and devops teams are continuing to work together to resolve all issues after our recent datacenter migration as quickly as possible. If there are outstanding issues, we can work to prioritize them better.
Sincerely,
SourceForge.net Support
Hi Dave,
strace-devel is crucial for strace project. Unfortunately, since Feb 13th the mailing list does not function properly, emails are being delayed for days and some of them haven't been delivered at all.
The first email in the arhive is dated "Wed Aug 9 21:30:17 2000", we are immensely grateful to sourceforge.net for the hosting but it's time to find a more reliable home for the mailing list.
Regards,
Dmitry
JFYI, at least the following messages sent on Feb 19th still haven't reached the mailing list yet:
Message-ID: 20180219144903.GA1884@altlinux.org
Message-ID: 20180219190449.GO4439@asgard.redhat.com
Message-ID: 87sh9wd920.fsf@linux-m68k.org
Message-ID: 20180219142319.GJ4439@asgard.redhat.com
Message-ID: 20180219111359.7ad98d56@guinness
I suspect there are more undelivered messages I'm not aware of.
Hi Dmitry,
Thanks for the info. Our devops team has made a lot of strides with stability of our mailing lists over the past few days and we haven't seen any issues lately. We were also able to find that a few of the message ids you provided did make it through:
If you still are planning on migrating your list, we unfortunately cannot provide a mailing list archive with full email addresses for legal and privacy reasons outside our control. The partial obfuscation we believe strikes a balance between usability and protection of personally identifiable information.
Let us know if there's anything else we can do to be of assistance.
Sincerely,
SourceForge.net Support
